Stacey Pembleton

Certified Yoga Teacher & Owner of Calm the Soul Yoga

Hello and welcome to Calm the Soul Yoga & Wellness Studio. Yoga means 'union' between the body, mind and soul and I believe every experience is a chance to turn inwards and learn something new. I embrace this message in each one of my classes as well as in my own practice. My training not only taught me how to effectively and safely teach yoga postures, breathing and meditation techniques... it was also a journey of self-discovery and self-exploration that cemented my love of yoga.

I have been practicing yoga for more than 19 years, successfully completing my Yoga Teacher training in June of 2010, at the Lotus Centre in London, Ontario. I am a Certified Yoga Teacher, with specializations in Children's Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Yin Yoga and I am registered with the Canadian Yoga Alliance.

I look forward to welcoming you to our studio and sharing my passion of yoga.

“I've been lucky enough to practice yoga in many places throughout the world, but nowhere feels like home like Stacey's studio. She has a voice and a calming presence that's so unique and relaxing, I feel like I sink into my practice here like no other place I've experienced.”

Jami Vandermeersch

Certified Yoga Teacher

My yoga practice began over 15 years ago while working and living at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Alberta. I am grateful to have called Banff home for most of my 20's and was immersed in an extremely diverse yoga community during this time.

I traveled to Bali in 2014 to take my 200hr vinyasa teacher training as part of an intensive month long experience, and I have since completed my certification in yin as well.

Over the last 15 years yoga has expanded from a physical practice to becoming a toolbox of resources available to help navigate my mind and soul through any challenge I'm faced with.

With so much constant change and advancement in the world around us - Yoga is the anchor that brings me back home and reconnects me with my souls true north.

As my practice has evolved and I've grown as a student, it became clear my next steps were to share with those around me. I look forward to creating space with you to grow and thank you for your willingness to show up in this adventure together.

Lauren Thomson

Certified Yoga Teacher

Hi, I'm Lauren! I'm a mom of two little boys, a fire wife, farm-dweller and a lover of all things wellness! I've been practicing yoga for over 15 years, completing my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2021 and finishing up my 85-hour Prenatal and Postnatal Certification this year.

My main teaching style is Vinyasa Flow, blending movement with intentional breath to create space for strength, balance, and mindfulness. My teaching philosophy is simple: come as you are, and take it where you're at.

For me, yoga embodies a lifestyle that helps me show up as my highest self, both on and off the mat. In my daily life, you'll find me sipping matcha, tending to my garden, or spending time outdoors with my family. I can't wait to flow with you!
